It all started when Yufe Brothers came from Europe in 1938 and opened a fabric store in St. James, Trinidad. Business thrived and their clientele grew. After a few years, they moved first to Charlotte Street and then to a larger store on the corner of Queen and Frederick Street, Port of Spain, and “Yufe Brothers” was born. Thanks to their customers, it became the busiest corner on the island. Today the company is known as Solomon Yufe & Co. Limited, operating an import export distribution centre in San Juan as well as fourteen retail stores throughout Trinidad under the YUFE’S banner.
Solomon Yufe & Co Limited has become the largest exporters of Soft Home Furnishings and textiles in the CARICOM region and one of the largest T-shirt, sportswear and uniform apparel wholesalers in Trinidad and the exclusive distributor of “SOLEIL” branded apparel. Yufe’s is a leader in fabrics, as well as Soft Home Furnishings which includes readymade curtain panels, bedding, bathroom towels and much more.
